Research mini-grant call results published

Research mini-grant call results published

On 19 January 2021 the Priority Research Area BioS announced the results of its first call for individual mini-grant research proposals. Nearly PLN 1.5 million has been distributed among 52 researchers.

98 projects have been entered in the call. Of this number 95 were found eligible and approved for peer review. Each project was evaluated by two reviewers. Funding (PLN 1,497,270.63 in total) was granted to 52 projects (including 51 projects scoring at least 39 points, and one scoring 38.5 points, in the domain “Structural biology,” which was necessary to secure a proportional share of at least 50 per cent awarded proposals in each domain). At the review stage procedures were also implemented to see that a 40-per-cent minimum of the value to grants awarded in each domain was distributed among researchers who had not acted as principal investigators to research projects in the period specified by the call’s terms and conditions.

See the list of call laureates below. The laureates are researchers of the following JU faculties: Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, Faculty of Management and Social Communication, Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology, and Jagiellonian Centre for Experimental Therapeutics.
