The results of the Interdisciplinary Bio-Medical Collaboration competition co-organized by PRA BioS and PRA qLife were announced on December 1, 2020.

The winners of the competition are four interdisciplinary teams. As a result of the assessment made by external reviewers, funding was obtained for projects submitted by the leaders:

• dr hab. Martyna Elas from FBBiB (project title: Inhibition of the growth of human uveal melanoma metastasis in an animal model),
• dr. n. med. Mateusz Kwiatniewski from FBBiB UJ (project title: Mast cell activation test as a potential diagnostic method of immediate drug-induced reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics: the importance of the IgE-dependent and MRGPRX2-dependent pathways),
• dr hab. Małgorzata Tyszka-Czochara from the Faculty of Pharmacy (project title: Identification of molecular targets regulating metabolic maturation of human iPSCs-derived cardiomyocytes for the potential use in regenerative medicine),
• dr hab. Monika Majewska-Szczepanik from the Faculty of Health Sciences (project title: Poly (I: C) as a potential stimulator of NK cell action in mouse model of coronavirus infection).
